Better things to do than the same six calls.
A reschedule, an insurance question, directions, a patient in pain. Infocall builds a dental agent that settles the first three on the call and hands the fourth to a person, so the desk can stay chairside.

The six, off the front desk
Infocall builds your agent around this list, with the answers you approve and the tools to finish each one.
- A patient moving or canceling, usually with a day already in mind
- A new patient asking if you take their insurance
- Someone in pain who needs to be seen today
- A patient asking what a visit will cost, answered only with the figures you approve
- Hours, directions, parking, what to bring to a first visit
- The call that lands while the only person at the desk is chairside
One reschedule, handled on the call
Friday instead of Tuesday. The desk hears about it from the schedule, not the phone.
Press the button and a real agent answers; the business is fictional, the agent is not.
“Can you move my appointment to Friday?”
- 01Find appointment Tue 9:00am, Dr. Reyes
- 02Check availability Friday 2:30pm open
- 03Update appointment Moved to Fri 2:30pm
“Done. You are now down for Friday at 2:30.”
A dental front desk is not a phone desk
The person at the desk is greeting patients, taking payment, handling forms, stepping back to help in an operatory. The phone loses most of those contests, and the caller hears it.
The agent takes the phone off that list. The desk keeps the calls that need a person in the room.
| When the phone rings | What the agent does |
|---|---|
| The desk is chairside | Answers, books or moves the appointment, and records what the call was about |
| The patient does not speak English | Switches to the caller's language mid-call |
| Evenings, lunch and weekends | Answers. Your dashboard shows what came in after hours |
| The caller needs a person | Says so and hands the call over |
Clinical questions go to a person, every time
The agent does not diagnose, advise on symptoms or medication, or tell a patient what their pain means. That line is written into the agent, not left to its judgment on the call.
A question it has not been cleared to answer goes to the desk, and the patient hears that it is being passed on, not a guess about their tooth.
- 01Anything clinical
- Symptoms, medication, pain, treatment. A person answers these.
- 02Urgent calls
- Handled the way your practice decides before launch, with a person involved.
- 03Insurance
- The agent says only what you approved. Anything past that goes to the desk.
- 04New patients
- Takes the details you ask for before a first visit and books them. Forms and paperwork stay with the desk.

Mid-filling, the phone rang.
Hear it take a real call.

Questions people actually ask.
Is Infocall HIPAA compliant?
Infocall supports HIPAA-compliant deployments. How patient data is handled, and any agreements your practice needs, are worked through on the scoping call. Raise it there and we will be specific.
Will a patient get a new time on the call, or a callback?
A new time. The agent writes the change into your scheduling system while the patient is on the line and reads it back. A callback only happens if the scheduling system cannot be reached.
What happens when a patient calls in pain after hours?
The agent answers and follows the rule your practice set before launch. Depending on that rule it takes the details and gets them to the person you named, or books the slot you keep open for urgent visits. It never assesses the pain or advises on treatment.
Will it tell a new patient whether we take their insurance?
It says what your practice approved, and nothing past it. If the answer is a list of plans, it gives the list. If the honest answer needs a check a person has to run, it says so and hands the caller to the desk.
What does the practice have to do?
Your part is a scoping call, access to your systems, and one review before launch. Infocall builds and runs the agent for you. There is no platform to learn.
Give every caller your best, every time.
The first call is free. Nothing is committed until you have a scope and a price.
